In parallel with the ongoing capacity increase works at our Medcem cement factory, we are also starting our project to increase the capacity of additional piers, additional silos and handling in our port.

Our Medcem Port has been established in Silifke/Taşucu Yeşilovacık neighborhood under the supervision of Taşucu Port Authority and Taşucu Customs Directorate for the purpose of evacuating the ships that bring fuel and raw materials to the Medcem cement factory, which is a group company, and to ship the Clinker and Cement produced in our factory by ships.
The handling capacity of our port is 8,000,000 Mton/Year. After the completion of our port expansion project, our capacity will reach 10,000,000 Mton/Year.

MEDCEM PORT has adopted the mission of protecting all living things of ecological importance in the region close to its field of activity. In this direction, it continues its support for the sustainability of ecological life by establishing a unit tasked with protecting marine ecology.
With its advanced technology Waste Reception Facility, it aims to eliminate the potential of sea pollution by taking the wastes of incoming ships. In order to achieve this goal, it accepts highly polluting wastes such as bilge water, sludge, waste oil (MARPOL Annex-I), sewage (MARPOL Annex-IV), garbage (MARPOL Annex-V).
